					<description>Yes!!!! i agree i have taught my son sign language he is hearing but we have deaf family meembers and he picked it up soo quickly, it really enhances the mind.</description>

					<description>Thank you.  My daughter is not deaf but she knows maybe 300 words in signs (even at the very young age of 17 months).  She also can speak maybe 50-100 words.  Her grasp on language is rather extraordinary, but we really think much of it is fueled by our ability to sign fluently in American Sign Language.  We just don't understand parents who are afraid to try using signs &quot;because it might delay speech&quot;.  *They* are the ones who are DELAYED!
